This song came about during a time of self reflection. I had a desire to grow in my relationship with Christ but I was living a lifestyle that made me feel separated from His love. I know God is always with me and He wants the best for me and from me. He was pouring His love on me through other Christians but I wasn't receptive because of my own shame and guilt. When I say I need more of You, it's not that God was only giving me a little of Him. It was that I needed to decrease and let Him increase. I needed to magnify Him above every other thing in my life.
